About Your Trainer - Julia Priest What's different about me? I don't have a "method." There is no one right way to deal with every dog. I have an exceptional ability to understand what your dog needs –and more importantly, what you need –so that you can teach him to learn and cooperate with you. Testimonials: Meghan Hersey "Julia is one of a kind in the art of dog training. If you are looking for a competent trainer that truly cares about coaching handlers through the ins & outs of training "man's best friend" then look no further. She is patient and thorough in her training. You will never leave a lesson feeling confused or overwhelmed but rather confident and accomplished. Julia's resume speaks for itself but just in case it doesn't, trust those that have had the honor of working with her first hand." Axel's owner: As my 5 month old German Shepherd was pulling me while I was walking him not knowing how to handle him. A lady walked up to me at Lodi Lake with a well behaved 1.5 yr old German Shepherd and told me to call Julia to help train my dog. I could barely talk to her because my dog was barking ferociously like a wild animal pulling me and actually hurt my back... immediately I called Julia in hopes to help me train my dog. I had no idea what I was getting into with this young active dog I just got. I felt overwhelmed and stressed everyday not knowing how to train or deal with him. The first time Julia came to my house she showed me and explained what I need to do and why. The first session went well. I wouldn't know what to do without her. Every session I learn something new on how to train him and he listens. I'm very grateful to the lady that referred me to Julia. In this picture this is the first time my dog acted wonderfully with Julia's help since I got him in Jan. 2018. This is the first time I could eat peacefully while my dog is settled. Sharpe's owner: Julia was recommended to us by a volunteer at German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California as a trainer who "gets it done". I visited her with my one-year-old rescue GSD, Sharpe, who has not had much training or socialization. We spent a little over an hour working on loose leash walking, and I came home with a vastly improved walking partner and a clear idea of how to continue to improve. We have plenty more to learn and will be visiting Julia together again. She is a smart, no-nonsense and compassionate teacher with a very obvious deep love for dogs. Thanks, Julia!
